I have been twice to Upwey Wishing Well & Gardens. I plan to visit often ! The first visit was only for tea & cake, it was enough for me to choose this place to take my dearest friend for her Birthday. I choose this tearoom as they have a very good Vegan menu. Oh my giddy aunt she loved it so much. The loveliest young man waited on our table and understood what being a vegan entailed, so reassuring. The food was truly delicious (we both had the small plates mushrooms on sourdough bread) non vegans try this ! The small plate was plenty enough for a light lunch and left enough room for Vegan Biscoff cake (very generous portion) If you wish they will provide a box for uneaten or take away cake. The gardens are delightful, we loved Mother Duck and her 9 ducklings, what a bonus. Upwey Wishing Well also take and welcome CASH ... oh yes ... how very sensible, before we are forced to become a cashless society . I cannot rate this award winning Tearoom enough - you do need to book, and unfortunately the parking is on the road, although on weekdays you can park in the Church car park for £1 donation. ENJOY

Great visit to these charming tea rooms, sat in the gardens with a beautiful view and had a delicious brunch - I had eggs benedict with crispy bacon, a fresh pot of tea, followed by a slice of cake, food was wonderful! Staff very friendly and helpful too, and the gardens were a lovely setting and nice to walk round.

This was awesome, the place was buzzing, great atmosphere. The food was superb. People coming in throughout the afternoon. I was amazed at how busy they were. Polite staff. Plenty of seating. The mushrooms and spinach on sourdough toast were delicious. A must for all the family. Reasonable prices. Downside, can be difficult to find a parking space.

What an absolute gem of a place! I came with our family and although busy we felt very welcome. The staff were lovely, lots of them too (constantly cleaning, very impressed) and they were very good with my coeliac daughter, didn’t make us feel like we’re being awkward and she could eat a proper meal! We had roast dinners which were large and really tasty and our littlest ones had chicken strips which they said were good. They also had milkshakes which looked delicious! The gardens are beautiful and perfect for a stroll after a big meal. I’ll be recommending these tearooms to everyone and can’t wait to bring my Mum. Thank you wishing well tearoom team 🤩

Went for lunch today. All of the meals were first class but the Thai fishcakes were absolutely "out of this world". I would thoroughly recommend a visit and would seriously suggest trying the Wildcat cider. The gardens are beautiful and definitely worth a walk around.
